The diverse climate in Brazil makes it a year-round destination.
We have five different climate regions: equatorial, tropical, semi-arid, highland tropical and subtropical.
Cities like São Paulo and Brasilia, on the plateau, have a mild climate with temperatures averaging 66oF (19oC). Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Natal and Salvador on the coast have warmer climates balanced by the Trade Winds. Rio, for example, has an average temperature of ca. 80oF (26oC), reaching over 100oF (38oC) during the Summer months (December-February). In the Southern cities of Porto Alegre and Curitiba the subtropical climate is similar to parts of the US and Europe, with frosts in the Winter (July-August) when temperatures may fall below zero... yet Summers are hot. Despite the popular image of the Amazon as a region of blistering heat, temperatures rarely rise above 90oF (32oC) - days are generally warm, wet and humid. This region has two seasons: rainy (November-May) and not-so-rainy (June-October).
Brazil also offers a wide range of location opportunities, from the iconic landscape of Rio de Janeiro to the majesty of the Amazon. And in between there are all sorts of geographic features: waterfalls ( like Iguazy Falls ), some of the world’s best beaches, rivers as well as different cities, industrial plants and sports stadiums.
Brazil’s highly diverse ethnicity adds extra value to production here - our population has a huge variety of colors, faces and physical appearances. Here we have people from all over the world: native indigenous, Latin, Northern European, Eastern European, Southern European, African, Afro-Brazilian, Arab, Asian... And the easy integration makes the variety even more interesting. For example, São Paulo has the largest Japanese community outside of Japan.

Most camera equipment is Arri. Cranes, dollies, remote heads, stabilized heads and shot-makers are available and of the highest standard. There are some options for motion control and stabilized camera mounts; there are no spacecams or Moco gear.
