
He has directed over 500 commercial films which are characterized by its strong visual appeal and the use of effects. His career began in the visual arts, scenography, and visual media. In the 1990s, he took a screenplay course at the American Film Institute (http://www.afi.com/) in Los Angeles. Right after that he moved to Paris, accepting an invitation from cinematographer Pascal Rabaud, and became an associate of advertisement production studio Première Heure . Back in Brazil, he directed the short-film “Com que roupa?”, about Noel Rosa, a rehearsal for his first feature film, “Noel, Poeta da Vila” (link to film synopsis), from 2006, in which the director worked with sambistas from Rio who played the musicians. Since then, he has been increasingly involved in directing commercial films focused on behavior or dialogues, working with both actors and non-actors. He also did the documentary Tinta Fresca (link to synopsis). Parallel to commercials, he is the head of Tempo Design.
